Cinema Strange

Cinema Strange puede ser considerada la banda mas representativa de DeathRock en la actualidad.
Sus estravagantes vestimentas y apariencia androgina, sus presentaciones plagadas de teatralidad, sus letras como poesias indescifrables caracterizan a este original grupo.
Procedentes de los Angeles, California, el proyecto se inicia el 2 de febrero de 1994 como una banda de DeathRock clásico en la onda de Sex Gang Children y Virgin Prunes. La formación inicial era: Lucas Lanthier en las voces, Daniel Ribiat en el bajo, Colin O'Donnell en la guitarra y Alejandro Restrepo en la bateria. Pero la banda no terminó de cuajar y al final solo quedaron Lucas Lanthier y Daniel-San.
Por esa época hicieron sus primeros pinitos en la escena DeathRocker de Los Angeles abriendo a bandas como: Switchblade Symphony, Sunshine Blind, The Wake, Faith and Disease, Gitane Demone...
También se dedicaron a tocar en pequeños clubes entre los que se encuentran el Vampiricus y el Sacrilege, en Long Beach, California.
En el 98 entra como guitarrista Michael Ribiat y comienzan a darse a conocer actuando como acto principal y no como teloneros.
En 2003 entra a la bateria Danny Walker y filman los cortos "Comandos Dancing...Dancing Comandos" y "Beware of the Zombie Forest", dirigidos por Lucas Lanthier.

Cinema Strange es un grupo original, novedoso, siniestro..., que crea una atmosfera y un halo de oscuridad a tu alrededor que pocas bandas pueden lograr.
Actualmente la banda está formada por los hermanos Michael y Daniel Ribiat junto con Lucas Lanthier y Danny Walker.
